Pleasantly surprised
My wife and I have made a few trips to this area and normally stay at the run of the mill cookie cutter hotels. This time I search around for something different. In my search I came across this B&B. We had never stayed at one before. This was a new experience. I had heard good and bad about B&B's so we were a little hesitant not knowing what to expect. From the moment we walked in and greeted by Anne, we felt very comfortable. We were very pleasantly surprised with the great accommodations, delicious breakfast, and the overall wonderful hospitality shown by Anne and Steve. We will be definitely be staying here again!! We also know now the bar is set high for the next B&B we try. I couldn't say enough wonderful things about this place!! Thanks Anne and Steve you made our trip fabulous!!

A beyond AMAZING experience
We were granted a weekend getaway and I could not have made the best choice ever!!! Steve, Anne, and our Tessa... (Tess for me) were the most amazing innkeepers and extended family! We felt right at home! They accommodated our needs before we articulated them! It was difficult to get out of bed because they are beyond comfy. Difficult to leave the breakfast table because you feel right at home and just want to eat the delicious breakfast and drink the coffee that Anne and Steve serve... and the wonderful conversations just go on and on, and you lose sense of time. Finally, the hardest time is when it's time to say goodbye! You feel like you are leaving a family behind, a home away from home. This was by far the most amazing experience and it sure beats a luxurious hotel (like the ones we have gone to).. Thanks a Million Steve and Anne! Sincerely, Bielka and Melvin

Fabulous stay at the River Edge Mansion
After an 8 hour ride we were impressed by that big old mansion, surrounded by the Erie canal and old trees. It was a very warm day back in September 2016 and at first Tess(a), the dog, greeted us, followed by Anne & Steve. They showed us the house and our Suite, and everything was above clean and very nice. We were offered a wine and a boat tour into the sunrise on the Erie Canal and we took both. Anne prepared some snacks for us. Fantastic!!!! After that we ordered some pizza and had that on our own porch with rocking chairs. We had a very big hot tub in our room and that was the very first time I ever used one outside my own a home. The next morning after we woke up Anne or Steve have placed fresh coffee and a little cake in front of our room. I am a coffee person and that was great!!!!!! So was our breakfast, Anne is a real good cook and we enjoyed her meal and listened to Steve, who answered all our questions about the mansion. It was really hard to leave. If you ever happen to go there - do it!

Accommodations were Splendid
Rooms, fixtures, furniture elegant. A view of the Erie Canal from our bedroom was special. The hosts, Steve and Ann, were personable. Breakfast well present toward decisions.

A remarkable experience
We stayed here for our daughter's graduation in May, 2013. Anne and Steve brought us cheese and crackers on the dock, served delicious hot breakfasts, accommodated two extra guests in the sitting room and our room, and were gracious, friendly, warm and welcoming. Their hospitality made our whole graduation weekend experience delightful. The Inn is beautiful and we hope to have the opportunity ...

Beautiful Home - Gracious Hosts - Warm Welcome
Our recent four day stay at the River Edge mansion will be one to remember for a lifetime. From the beautiful rooms to the delicious breakfast to the wonderful hosts, it was one of the nicest B&Bs we have stayed at over the past 35 years. Anne and Steve make you feel like one of the family and go well beyond what most innkeepers do- bringing coffee to our room in the morning...
